1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to It’s Bigger Than Basketball (“the Website,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the Website—including making donations, purchasing merchandise, or buying event tickets—you agree to comply with these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Website.

2. Purpose of the Website

The Website provides:

  • The ability to make donations to registered non-profit organizations via our fundraiser. All funds raised will be donated to these organizations.
  • Please be aware that “It’s Bigger Than Basketball” is unable to directly issue donation receipts as we are not a registered charity. However, this year’s total funds raised will be donated to the UBC T-Birds Mental Health Initiative and the Foundry Abbotsford. At your request, we can arrange a direct donation to either of these charitable organizations, and this amount will be added to our fundraising total. The donation receipt will be issued directly from these organizations. Please contact us at itsbiggerthanbball@gmail.com for more information. All donations requiring an official receipt will have to be made by cheque. Thank you.
  • An e-commerce platform for sale of merchandise.
  • A platform to purchase tickets for future events hosted or supported by It’s Bigger Than Basketball

3. Use of the Website

You agree not to:

  • Use the Website for unlawful or fraudulent activities
  • Attempt to breach security or interfere with Website operation
  • Submit harmful code or malicious content
  • Copy or redistribute Website content without permission

4. Donations

Donations made through the Website are donated to registered non-profit organizations.

  • Donation receipts may be issued by the applicable non-profit (see 2: Purpose of Website) as required under Canadian tax law.
  • All donations are final and non-refundable unless explicitly specified otherwise.

5. Merchandise Sales (Non-Refundable)

Merchandise is sold through our online store. By placing an order, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • All merchandise purchases are final. No refunds or returns are accepted.
  • Prices and product availability may change without notice.
  • Taxes, shipping fees, and handling charges may apply.
  • We are not responsible for delivery delays caused by carriers.

6. Event Ticket Sales

The Website may sell tickets for future events organized or affiliated with It’s Bigger Than Basketball.
By purchasing tickets, you agree that:

  • Tickets are subject to availability and may sell out.
  • Event details (dates, times, venues) are subject to change.
  • Unless required by law or otherwise stated, event ticket purchases are non-refundable.
  • If an event is postponed, tickets may be honoured for the rescheduled date.
  • If an event is canceled, refund options will follow the policy applicable to that event.

7. Accounts and User Responsibilities

If you create an account:

  • You must provide accurate and current information
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
  • You agree to notify us of any unauthorized use

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these Terms.
